Nirupama Kulkarni

I am Professor (formerly Additional Director–Research) at CAFRAL, a research institution promoted by the Reserve Bank of India. My academic research focuses on banking, digital finance, and housing markets in India, while my policy work spans central banking and financial regulation.

I hold an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from IIT Bombay, an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and a Ph.D. in business administration (finance and real estate) from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
